A group of students visited Nottingham Trent University yesterday to take part in discussions with trainee teachers so they could learn about school life and what goes on in a classroom from a pupil’s perspective. This was a potentially daunting situation where each student had to speak to large groups of adults individually.
We were both delighted with the students’ response and immensely proud of how they performed. They spoke confidently, maturely and insightfully and were fantastic ambassadors for the college. The teachers were able to learn a great deal from our students and university staff commented on how articulate they were and how useful the session was as a result.
They have received an iTunes voucher from the university and will be getting a wedge of credits from me, but if you teach any of them or see them about school please congratulate them. The students were:
Shannon O’Toole
Eamonn Naylor
